A

TASTE

OF

HISTORY

Dr. Crawford and his wife have always shared

a passion for collecting memorabilia. After he

started dentistry school, the couple added

dental items to their treasure hunting at various

antique shows and auction sales. And as the

local dental community became aware of this

interest, colleagues started donating

dental relics. “Pack Rat Crawford,” as his

confreres liked to call him, accumulated

more than 4000 items over the years.

WhenDr. RalphCrawford and

his wifeOlga started collecting

dental artifacts some 50 years ago

to decorate hisWinnipeg office,

they never imagined their finds

would eventually reside at the

Museumof HealthCare in

Kingston, Ontario.

We’re only where we are today

because past dentists made

amazing contributions

to the profession...
