The UBC Faculty of Dentistry invites applications for two full-time faculty positions in the discipline of prosthodontics, with an emphasis on restorative dentistry. The
appointments will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, with consideration of a higher rank depending on qualifications. Applicants must have postgraduate training in
prosthodontics and be, or be eligible to be, licensed specialists in prosthodontics in Canada.
The successful candidates will be required to have potential for teaching excellence in restorative dentistry and prosthodontics. Preference will be given to individuals
whose program of research will contribute to improved oral health of British Columbians, especially the elderly, and will enhance existing research at UBC. Individuals with
promising research and academic experience are encouraged to apply. Service to the University and the community is an expectation.
The successful candidates will contribute extensively to teaching in the DMD and the combined Diploma in Prosthodontics/MSc in Craniofacial Science graduate program at
UBC; will develop a robust research program; and will effectively supervise graduate student research.
The successful candidates will hold full-time faculty appointments at UBC with salary, rank and appointment status commensurate with qualifications and experience.
