Due to the limited number of seats available for this DAT session, and regardless of the availability of many different DAT testing dates and facilities, candidates must register ONLY ONCE for one facility and one test day and time. If a candidate registers more than once, the second and any subsequent registrations will automatically be cancelled by the DAT Office without any notice.
Due to the ongoing nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is possible that during the DAT in October/November 2021, further seating capacity restrictions will be implemented in some test locations across Canada. Should that happen, unfortunately this will necessitate some registrations being cancelled and refunded. The order of registration cancellation will be determined based on the chronological date/time of registration (latest first), by specific test session impacted.
Be aware of the COVID-19 implications of your location choices if you are registering for a test centre out of province or far from your location of residence. It is your responsibility to stay informed of COVID-19 travel restrictions and requirements that could be in place at the time of the examination. Transfers to other test locations after you are registered are not permissible. Therefore, candidates must be certain that by choosing and registering for a DAT exam site, they are willing to write the exam at that location and date while respecting the COVID-19 restrictions of that province, including but not limited to self-isolation and travel restrictions.
Additional seats may become available in some test locations during the registration period, before the deadline. If you register for a session at a distant test centre and another one becomes available later at a preferred location, you will NOT be able to register again nor transfer.
DAT fees are not refundable nor transferable and no cancellations are permitted.
All information required to register for the DAT is provided in the DAT Information section of our website. Please review this information before beginning the registration process.
Register as soon as possible
As there are a limited number of DAT test centres and seats available, applicants are advised to register as early as possible for their preferred test location and date for the DAT and well in advance of the registration deadline. Seats fill up quickly at certain test centres and CDA cannot guarantee that seats will still be available at the end of the registration period.
Online registrations must be submitted on or before the corresponding deadline date of September 8, 2021 (23:59:59 EDT) for the October/November 2021 DAT. Payment is required at the time of registration.
Once the deadline passes, the online registration service will close until registration opens for the next available DAT session date.
