On April 12, 2014, the Canadian Dental Association held its annual general meeting (AGM) in Ottawa. The AGM and its related events provide an opportunity for the profession to gather together to exchange ideas, celebrate achievements and collaborate on future initiatives.

Results of the Electronic Filing System Survey

Last week we asked you whether or not you use an electronic filing system to organize your favourite articles. Twenty-eight percent (28%) of you responded YES and 72% responded NO. All dentists agreed that they would like to use an effective electronic filing systems and a large number of them have shown interest in learning about tools that would help them organize their readings.

We are preparing an Oasis Discussions post which will include information on the best available tools to help you design your electronic filing system.


Continovation Services Inc. (CSI) warns about the latest Internet Explorer vulnerability

On April 26 2014, Microsoft released a security advisory for a serious vulnerability in Internet Explorer. There is currently no patch available for this vulnerability and Microsoft did not provide a release date for a patch.
