CDAlert – Fraudulent CDA Email Account

Further to the CDAlert of March 7, 2012, CDA has received reports of more fraudulent emails being sent to Canadian dentists.

The new false email subject line reads: "Members Update.”

The content within the false emails reads: “You have 1 new security message! Access your members page and update your member's profile to resolve the problem. Secure account log in. Keep yourself secure. This email was sent automatically please do not respond.”

Once again, these emails are NOT from CDA. Do not click on any links or provide any password information.

To reiterate, CDA will never send any emails to dentists asking for log in credentials. Dental offices should be vigilant and exercise caution with any emails that seek log in or password information.

Please be on the lookout for these types of fraudulent emails and do not respond to them.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call CDA offices at 1-800-267-6354.

CDA's Website Privacy Policy applies to this email communication.
