Dr. Darryl Robert Smith of Valleyview, Alberta is the New Vice-President of the Canadian Dental Association

April 18, 2005 — Ottawa — The Canadian Dental Association (CDA) announces the installation of Dr. Darryl Smith, as its new vice-president. The official announcement was made during CDA's General Assembly, held April 15 and 16, 2005 in Ottawa.

Dr. Smith is a past president of the Alberta Dental Association and of the Peace River District Dental Society. He has served on numerous CDA committees and working groups, including its Audit Committee and Accountability Working Group.

Over the years, Dr. Smith has been active within the professional dental community in Canada. He is currently a member of the Alberta Dental Association and College and the Peace River and District Dental Society. In addition, he is a fellow of the International College of Dentists, and the American College of Dentists.

Dr. Smith graduated from the University of Alberta 1978. He maintains a private practice in Valleyview. He lives in Crooked Creek, Alberta with his wife Becky and two daughters, Leah and Meghan.
