A news item in the December 2004 issue of JCDA (p. 744) reported on the work of the Manitoba Collaborative Project for the Prevention of Early Childhood Tooth Decay. The resources (a manual and toolkit) produced by the group are now available on the Web sites of the University of Manitoba’s faculty of dentistry (www.umanitoba.ca/faculties/dentistry/ccoh/ccoh_earlyChildCare.html) and of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (www.wrha.mb.ca/caring/preventill/oral.php). Five Quebec universities have launched the Virtual Campus for Health (VCH), a portal aimed at providing access to continuing education online offered by the universities of Laval, McGill, Montreal, Quebec (at Montreal) and Sherbrooke. The site is currently geared to professionals working in health-related fields and consists of a catalogue of approximately 20 online courses and acitivities newly developed by the partner universities. Future online content will include knowledge management tools, online communication and collaboration tools, and health documentary resources. For more information, visit www.cvs-vch.ca.
