Fluently bilingual, he was the executive director of the New Brunswick Pharmacists’ Association for almost 16 years. Mr. Blanchard has a business degree from the University of New Brunswick. Mr. Blanchard brings extensive experience to the NBDS. “Under his leadership, pharmacists in New Brunswick have made important gains in scope of practice which have benefited the public. They have also negotiated agreements with government and significantly increased their profile in media,” says Dr. Joy Carmichael, NBDS president. Mr. Blanchard also has years of experience at Ford Canada, Sunbury Transport and Jobs Unlimited. He has been an active volunteer at the United Way and Enterprise Fredericton. He also sat on the discipline committee of the Law Society of New Brunswick, the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers and the New Brunswick Real Estate Association.
