How to Find a Dentist

Oral health care is a very personalized service that requires a good relationship between the dentist and the patient. You may want to call or visit more than one dentist before making your decision.

Here are 3 ways to find a dentist in your area:

  1. Word of mouth - Ask family, friends, neighbours or co-workers for recommendations.

  2. References - If you're moving, your current dentist may be able to refer you to another dentist in your new area.

  3. Contact your province or territorial regulatory authority or dental association - Your provincial or territorial regulatory authority or dental association may be able to help you locate a dentist in your new area. Check its website for a Dentist Locator search engine or Dentist Directory.
