DAT Fees

DAT fees are not refundable or transferable.

Registration Fee

The DAT registration fee is collected during the online registration process. This fee covers registration for a scheduled DAT at a Canadian test centre, an official student transcript and up to 5 official transcripts mailed directly to the dental schools you indicate on the registration form. Transcripts for each additional school selected at the time of registration cost an additional $15.00 + applicable taxes.

At the time of registration, applicants are advised to carefully select all of the schools that are to receive their DAT scores. After your registration has been processed, requests to have transcripts sent to additional schools are subject to an administration fee. See the Transcript Fees section for more information.

Registration fees for upcoming test periods:

Nov. 2011/Feb. 2012

• DAT – written test portion: $210
• DAT – Manual Dexterity Test (MDT) portion: $50
• DAT refund to withdraw from MDT after registration: $0

Verification Requests

An administration fee of $25.00 + applicable taxes will be applied to each of the following requests:

• List of all of the dental schools that have been sent your DAT scores
• Verification that the DAT Office has received your registration form
• Verification that the DAT Office has received your fax requesting DAT material, DAT scores, etc.

Note: For online registrations and orders of DAT material, applicants should consider the Confirmation of DAT Registration page and the Confirmation of DAT Order page as verification that the DAT Office has received their registration and order forms.

Verification of DAT Scores

Written portion: $75.00 + applicable taxes will be applied to all requests for administrative verification of the reporting process for the written portion of the DAT.

A fee of $150.00 + applicable taxes will be applied to all requests for manual re-grading of the written portion of the DAT.

A fee of $225.00 + applicable taxes will be applied to all requests for both administrative verification and manual re-grading of the written portion of the DAT.

Manual dexterity scores: A fee of $50.00 + applicable taxes will be applied to all requests for verification of carving scores.

A request for a review of test scores must be provided in writing to the DAT Office within 6 months of the date of the exam.

DAT Preparation Materials

Preparation Kit: $65.00 + applicable taxes.

Soap Six-Pack: $35.00 + applicable taxes.

DAT Preparation Manual: $20.00 + applicable taxes.

Note: There is an administration fee of $10.00 to resend returned DAT preparation materials. This fee will be charged to your credit card. The payment information (credit card number and its expiry date) must be sent by FAX ONLY to the DAT Office before the materials will be reshipped. Please ensure that your shipping information is complete.

Applicants who order DAT materials using the online order form should consider the Confirmation of DAT Order page as verification that the DAT Office has received their request.

Transcript Fees

During registration: Each additional transcript request indicated at the time of registration costs an additional $15.00 + applicable taxes.

After registration: Transcript requests carry an administration fee of $25.00 + applicable taxes for the first copy and $15.00 + applicable taxes for every additional transcript (including any additional personal copies) included within the same request.
